The Great Sibillini Ring is a cycle-tourism route of about 180 km that winds through the provinces of Macerata, Fermo, Ascoli Piceno and Perugia. Most of the route is on dirt roads, with a few stretches on asphalt, and winds through the mountains of the central Apennines, touching the most important villages and refuges in the area.
It is advisable to be well trained and in good physical condition. It is important to have a map and compass to avoid getting lost. Finally, it is best to set off in spring or autumn when temperatures are milder.
