Piazza Arringo, one of the symbols of Ascoli Piceno, is one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. With its rectangular shape, it is the oldest monumental square in the city of Ascoli Piceno. Inside the square we can find important palaces and monuments such as: Palazzo Fonzi, Palazzo dell’Arengo, the Episcopal Palace, the Cathedral of Sant’Emidio and Palazzo Panichi.

The story tells of Saint Francis of Assisi speaking from the square itself in 1215, from a tribune made of stone, which no longer exists.
